I was unsuccessful in the interview process for a specific role. Does this affect my chances of applying for any other roles at OfferZen?
No, it should not matter. However, we do want you to take a look at the requirements for the role and your experience. If it's not aligned, the chances you might be rejected for this position will be quite big.
What do I need to do to prep myself for the interview process?
Your Recruitment Partner will tell you what to prepare for. But you can find all the information you need in this guide . If you have additional questions, please ask your dedicated recruiter and she/he will be more than willing to answer all your questions.
Who will I be meeting?
During the process, you will meet with a cross-section of people from the People team, Leadership, and function-specific team members. At the final stage of the interview, you can expect to meet one of our Founders or Senior Leadership for a quick chat to learn more about our culture. This is your opportunity to get an impartial view of who we are.
Do you offer visa sponsorship or relocation assistance?
We take over visa sponsorship for candidates who already have a critical skills visa (in South Africa) or a highly skilled migrant visa (in the Netherlands), in other words we will transfer the visa from your previous company to OfferZen and will sponsor any costs associated with the renewal of the work permits. Unfortunately we do not currently offer support on new applications or relocation assistance.
How long does the process last for?
It depends on your availability as well as the interview availability/flexibility from all the people involved in the interview process. It could take a week, but it could also take one month. We try to adjust the process to the pace you are most comfortable with and will update you on the timeline throughout the process.
Can I apply for multiple jobs?
Yes, you can apply for more than one role at once, though we recommend narrowing your choices down to a few jobs that truly match your skills, experience, and interests. We’ll review your resume/CV - to determine the best fit.
Are there bonuses? If so, how much is guaranteed?
Currently, there are no bonuses but we see every contribution to our mission as invaluable so everyone gets equity in the form of shares upon signing their offer letter with OfferZen.
Overtime Questions
Is overtime compensated for? If so, what is the rate?
No, we make sure to compensate you competitively. OfferZen is a fast-growing scale-up which means that from time to time working longer hours is unavoidable. We are, however, mindful of work-life balance and are continuously thinking of ways to support that for the team. At the end of the day we value your output and will focus on helping you to work smarter and not more hours.
How often are increases given? Annually or semi-annually?
All increases are given annually. We always aim to be competitive in the market and start off on the right base.
What OfferZen hardware do I get?
Everyone gets a Mac!
We also provide the following additional hardware so that you can work from home efficiently:
An extra monitor
Adaptor to keep all your hardware connected
Macbook sleeve for protection
A UPS (cause loadshedding)
Headphones (If you are in a role that requires it)
A work phone (If you are in a role that requires it)
Each new joiner also gets an equipment budget of R2,500.00 to spend to set up their work space to their preference.
How does the team stay connected remotely?
Taking care of yourself, staying connected to your team, and taking regular breaks is important. We try to find creative ways to keep you connected and also take care of your wellbeing.

Office Spaces - You are welcome to work from our Cape Town office whenever you are in town! It’s a great way to meet your colleagues in person. In addition, we have a membership with Workshop17 that everyone can use when they need a space to co-work in other areas in South Africa.
Quarterly Team Events - Every team has a budget to spend for a fun quarterly event, depending on the event and time of the year, there is a budget to fly down to Cape Town to join the team in person for an event!
Monday Company All-Hands - Every second Monday, we have a company-wide stand-up to catch up with everyone, learn more about company updates and future goals.
