How to manage direct candidate applications as an employer on OfferZen

Woohoo! Not only can you reach out to candidates on OfferZen, but you can now also let them come to you. As of 25 March 2024, you can publish your position and get direct applications from candidates on the marketplace.

How to view applications

To see applications to your published positions:

  1. Click on Candidates in the main navigation bar.

  2. Click on the Applications tab in the sub-navigation on the top left corner of the page.

  3. This will take you to the list of applications. You can filter these applications by position.

Keep in mind:

  • Applications from candidates that are no longer live on OfferZen will remain open. However, they will still be informed when you accept or reject their application and be able to respond, unless they have accepted another job offer.

  • Candidates can apply to multiple positions at the same company so the same candidate may appear under your applications for different positions.

Evaluating applications

By clicking on the application, you’ll be able to see the candidate’s full profile and respond to their application. You’ll also be able to see how well the candidate matches the position.

If a candidate has applied for multiple positions at your company, you can respond to each application separately.

Responding to an application

Respond to an application by clicking either the “Accept application” or “Reject application” button. The candidate will be notified via email and on OfferZen whether their application was successful or not.

💡Tips:

  • If a candidate applied for multiple positions at your company, double-check that you are accepting or rejecting them for the position you intended.

  • Include a message when you accept an application so that the candidate knows what to expect next in the interview process.

Once a candidate’s application is accepted you will find a new, open conversation with them on your Messages page. When a candidate’s application is rejected you will find a new message thread with them under Archived on your Messages page. This is where you will be able to give them feedback on why their application is unsuccessful should you wish to do so.
